For those who have gone into labor before on their own, (not induced) how did it start?

Water broke, felt like a big punch to the cervix.

With both of my babies so far my water broke first (like big SPLASH) and then labor started. One was 37 weeks, the next was 41.

My boy hulk smashed until my water broke.... everywhere! Guess he was more impatient then me lol

First baby I woke to contractions and water broke about 7 hrs later and then had him 21 hrs after that. 
Second was induced late and the doctor had to break my waters after 13 hrs and had him 12 hrs later after that.

With my first the contractions started as almost like a stomach ache feeling,thought it was what I had eaten 😂 then once the pain became rhythmic and didn’t stop I knew it was labour

My water didn’t break until my first push, after 12 hours of active labor at the hospital.

2 out of 3 of my pregnancies my water broke and my middle child I also went into labor on my own but I didn’t realize I was in labor I got to the hospital already being 7 centimeters 😳

Both! With two of my pregnancies it was contractions first. With my second son my water broke and he didn’t come until almost 48 hours later

I say water broke but I had been having mild contractions that felt like strong Bh the night before. I woke up with a contraction that popped my water so...kinda both.

My water never broke. My midwife broke it by request at 9.5 cm because I was done lol
