Irregular period

So my last period was a very unusual one. when my calendar tells me I'm going to start, I'm about 2 days late and last around 5 or 6 days witch is normal. This last time, though, I started a week early and it lasted a little over a week so I started to freak out. I haven't had my next period yet and don't know if I should worry or not?? Is this normal??
