Health visitor experiences?

Can I ask ladies who are UK based what their health visitor experiences have been? I had my visit today and it wasn't what I expected.

Mine was lovely. And to b honest I think they take a look at living room n if that’s fine they go with there gut about the rest of the house I had bleached doors and everything thinking she would check cupboards and everything lol. Mine just explained when she would come back out. Asked a few questions about mine and partners child hood like I said she am as lovely Infact I would rather have her than my midwife now she is useless lol

We have had a different one nearly every visit! My sons nearly two. I think we seen the same one twice when he was small. I’ve hated 95% of them but I think that’s because they’ve all been so vocal on the fact i didn’t breastfeed

How many weeks are you ladies? I’m 35 weeks and don’t have anything booked in, no ones been in contact?

Answer

They don’t look around the house at all. That isn’t their job. Their job is to make sure you are ok and prepared for baby and get to know you. They aren’t there to judge how clean your house is ect ect. Xx
