How do you homeschool your kids?

I know absolutely nothing about homeschooling. So I’m so lost on where or how to start learning how to home school. Help.

You can do absolutely anything you want. That’s the freedom of homeschool. A trip to the grocery store or gas station counts as curriculum. I ordered the basics (science, math, English, etc) in books from Amazon. They’re expensive af but they’re good material. You could also look into k12 virtual school.

I can’t recommend K-12 enough. They are an online charter school that you can typically work your own pace. Its also typically at no charge to the parent, as they work with the state school system. It’s a little more structured once you hit high school, but it’s an incredible and challenging curriculum. It was the only time I had truly been challenged, but they help find appropriate placement for your littles. I did go back to public high school after doing K-12 for several years, but it was partially for social aspects. I would be wary of just doing it on your own, only because even some of the paid programs do not give you an accredited diploma. You can also ask your school district what their options are. Sometimes, they have online programs, too. K-12 does a bunch of testing at the beginning to help place your kiddo where they will be successful, but challenged, and send you everything you need (books, lab equipment, computer, etc)... at least they did in Nevada.

There are a lot of different curriculum options online.  I can't recommend one because I'm not yet homeschooling.  But there are tons of options.

Homeschooling for us was pretty basic.  Back when I did it (1st-12th grade) for elementary, the school we went through provided a 'super workbook' with around 700 pages that I had to complete by the end of the year.  From middle school onward, it was all pretty much online and I went to the public school every year for testing which I had to pass or I couldn't homeschool the next year.  
Granted, it's been 15 years since I graduated so I'm sure it's changed a lot and most are pretty much strictly online now.  A lot of making homeschooling work was getting in a good routine and getting it early.  My mom was a SAHM, so she made sure that I did my work and got in a routine where she didn't have to 'make me' do my schooling.
