Agree or Disagree with this statement ? Emotional abuse coming from a woman more acceptable in our society

🌙🔮

Thought this would be an interesting topic. Me & my friend who’s a guy have both discussed our stories of emotional abuse and I think it’s a shame how hard and embarrassing it was for him to talk about it. I think that for a lot of men it’s embarrassing to be abused by a woman (toxic masculinity most likely). & started to see many behaviors that are passed of as “stereotypical female behaviors” are really just emotional abuse if they are flipped the other way.

My mom emotionally abuses my step dad and yet says he emotionally abused her for years, but yet all the behaviors she does are blatantly emotional abusive and yet it’s ok for her to do it and nobody bats and eye.

I think it’s strange that when the female is the abuser in the situation it is considered emasculating and brushed off as common female behavior. Infact I think this reality just allows the behavior to be ok and I don’t think that is acceptable.

I know men are more likely to be physical abusers (women can be too) but I think from personal observation women are just as likely maybe even more likely to be emotionally abusive.
