Question for people on Medicaid taking bc pills?
Hi,
So I used to have insurance through my employer, but had to drop to <30 hr/week so no longer qualify. Anyway, I got on medicaid and am taking bc pills for my menorrhagia. With my previous insurance I was able to get a 3 month supply of bc pills, but now can only get a 28-day supply at a time. I usually skip my period and have one every 3 months. This creates a potential problem for me.
My question is, how soon can I get a refill? Like can I get a refill on day 18-21 of the pack so I don’t have to wait the full 28 days? Is there a way my dr could rewrite the prescription so I could get a 3-month supply at a time? I’m fairly new to all this. Please help! Thank you!
