Well I actually paired attention to the sex Ed video I watched in elementary school and wen home and asked my mom questions. So I knew what to do when it came.

I was super serious, I was like mom get me a pad I started my period 😐

I have an older sister so I already knew what was going on and what to do. I didn’t even tell my mom I got it till like a year later when she asked me.

I swear my reaction was 'Am I dying or did I start my period? Pretty sure I am dying but let's but a pad on anyways'

I was with my family driving to NY from Ohio and I was just sitting there waiting to die I thought I was dying.

My mom had already given me a book about it and pass, so I didn’t even think about it. I knew what to do. My one regret is that I kept it a secret from her. It was like 4 months before she found out and she was so hurt that I didn’t feel like I could trust her. But honestly I was just embarrassed and didn’t want to think about it lol

I kept it a secret for about a year. My mom was in a really bad place and I was too shy to talk about it with my grandma, and none of my friends ever talked about it. I felt like an alien. that was a hard time period. I was 11.
