Hi there!

I went to my doctor today and he wants me to take an HSG test to see if my tubes are blocked. He said since insurance doesn’t cover it it will be $1,200 - $1,800 out of pocket! I have seen others on here though say it was $300 for them. If you have paid for one out of pocket, what did it cost you?

Also, I read someone say one time that even thought it’s coded for infertility, insurance should cover it because it’s diagnostic, is that true? If so, how do I get it approved so I don’t have to pay it in full upfront?
