How much spit up is normal?

My 5 week old baby has started spitting up after every feeding, sometimes 2-3 times. She doesn’t seem too bothered by it but I wonder if it’s normal to spit up this much?

My little girl spits up loads like multiple times after every feed. She isn’t bothered by it so Iv been told she’s a happy spitter. Quite normal I’m told x

If she’s not writhing in pain it’s ok and as long as she continues to gain weight. If she is formula fed you could try the formulas for spit up. Enfamil and similac make them.

Is she breastfed or formula fed? Mine is doing this too and doctor said as long as she is still gaining weight and it isn’t a weird color, there’s nothing to worry about. It doesn’t seem to bother mine. It’s just super messy. I’m on day 2 of no dairy such as milk or cream cheese. I’m still eating like cheddar cheese though. Anyways. Today she didn’t do it at all under about 30 minutes after I gave her the vitamin D drops (she’s breastfed). So now im starting to wonder if it’s the vitamin d causing it! I talked to a few friends a few days ago about it that had experienced the same and they all said it resolves itself around 4-6 months or that it was mostly caused by something in their diet. One person said chocolate and beans. Another said beans and avocado. Another said dairy and gluten.

My doc asked me to estimate the amount of spitup as an area of a napkin...would It cover half, quarter, etc, and how frequently. I don’t know what the cutoff is, but my answer of one napkin amount every other feeding (4x a day) was not ok :( we are trying a diet change and more frequent feedings.
