Cramping like hell - Mirena

Okay so I got Mirena for a few reasons, but the #1 reason was to stop my terrrrrible cramping. I'm talking fetal position on the kitchen floor cramping. And while my periods are now less frequent and a little shorter, here I am about 1 1/2 years later wanting to give myself a back alley historectomy. Has anyone else had similar issues with Mirena/ does anyone have any helpful suggestions? Pls send halp thx
