New job while getting fertility treatments?

Has anyone started a new job while going through fertility treatments? My current job really stresses me out, but is it really fair to start a new job and then have a million appointments to go to then go on maternity leave (hopefully) in 9 months? If you switched jobs during all this, did you tell them ahead of time or keep it a secret until you got the job?

If you’re in the US things to consider for a new job is health insurance coverage  (mine is bcbs of sc and covers nothing infertility related). Also, for maternity leave you have to be there a year. As for adjusting schedules, not knowing what you do, ask if remote work is possible should you have doctors appointments etc. 
I wouldn’t mention fertility treatments out right but work more for options should you need time off for personal reasons.

I have switched jobs.  I work in the medical field though... I went to work for the hospital I get my treatments from. The insurance works out better.  I sid not tell them before hand.  I didn't have too.  You dont either... I did tell them afterwards about appts.  But again I just go across the hospital.  I work now with 3 other women who have been through fertility. They cover my patients and everyone is understanding.  My last job was stressful and a lot of travel.  I do need to be here 1 year before fmla but my short term disability would kick in because I was not pregnant before I started my job.  But at the rate I'm going now I started in November so I'll be on schedule for fmla :)

My job is stressful too so I can relate but starting a new job is also stressful and demanding.  I personally don’t deal well with uncertainty so in my case I am not sure that I would deal well with the added anxiety of a new job at the moment.  Unless I was being offered my dream job, in that case I would jump for it and figure out a way to make it work !  Have you tried making a pros and cons list ?

Are you starting IVF or IUI.  IUIs are minimal appointments but an new employer might not allow all the time off for the IVF required appointments.
