Defeated from anxiety

How do you get rid of your anxiety? I'm already on the highest dose of an anti anxiety pill.... Mine is situational right now. Recently something happened to destroy my life as I knew it. I feel like I'll never be happy. I'm so anxious. Scared :( how do you deal with this? I want to cry like a baby and skip work and I just can't handle this!!!!!
