And I feel like when it actually does, it wears off FAST. She’s a totally different child when the medicine actually works. But when she comes down off of it, all hell breaks loose. I’m so tired and I know she is. 😞

Look up time release Daytrana. It’s a patch, so the coming down isn’t as harsh.

I am by no means a medical professional in any way and this should be discussed with her doctor. However, my husband had a prescription for 10mg Adderall for his ADHD and he would cut the pill in half and take half after he woke up and the other half after lunch if he felt like he needed it.

Theres so many diffrent types. You also should be having monthly meeting with her doctor to evaluate how her meds are working. Dosage, if it wears off, if it's ineffective, shes out of it etc.. it can take months to get it right. I'd call her doctor.

This is something you really need to discuss with her dr, I imagine it’s not a ‘one size fits all’ treatment. 
I know you’re probably just looking for other opinions, but there would be so many factors that contribute to dosage, you couldn’t base it off what someone else takes. 
Has your daughter just started on the medication? They would start with a low dose and work up if needed. Like I said, speak with her dr about your concerns

My 9 yr old also takes 10mg and seems to wear off by dinner time. Like others have said maybe talk to the doctor if you have questions. We do monthly med checks to make sure everything is going well or if his meds need adjusting.
