PCOS ladies: do you wish you would’ve skipped straight to IVF?" /> 
Please share your experience. I’m stuck and can’t decide. 
To try 7.5 mg Letrozole OR injectable hormones with IUI OR IVF? 
I don’t ovulate on my own and I have PCOS. Clomid didn’t work and Letrozole isn’t working either. 
Doctor doesn’t think a higher dosage of Letrozole will work as all my pcos eggs are fighting for the medication. There’s no one dominant follicle that will ovulate. 😭 
Injectable hormones with IUI:  doctor is worry about multiples due to multiple follicles due to PCOS. this option is less controllable. 25% chance
IVF: more controllable but costly 72% chance with this specific clinic. 
I don’t know what to do. My employer thankfully covers $15,000 for IVF and $10,000 for medication. 
Help me please. I can’t stop crying since I’ve left the doctors. This is so overwhelming and I don’t know what to do.

I would go straight to IVF if I were you.  It is going to cost us nearly 30k out of pocket.  So I would jump all over it, being virtually 100% covered

If letrozole and clomid didn’t work for you and they don’t think upping the dosage will help then I would go for IVF if you have coverage through your insurance. I have pcos, I don’t ovulate on my own every month.. letrozole combined with a trigger shot and an IUI worked for me, first round. & actually ended up pregnant with twins anyways so multiples can happen but it’s not a bad thing when you’re working hard to have babies anyways 🙂 hope it all works out for you whichever way you choose!

We did 7 IUI’s because they were cost effective for us. Once that wasn’t an option anymore we moved to IVF. We don’t regret any of our choices at all.

I have pics and had 5iuis, 4 bfps..
I think it’s all abt ur dr. I had impeccable staff on me who were very knowledgeable and didn’t try to rush the process and did whatever they could to make sure the right decision was made and not abt finances.... 
Don’t let ppl knock IUI cuz they HEAR ivf is the “best”...

I did 3 IUI.  If IVF has worked on first try I would have always wondered if I could have saved $30k and just done an IUI.    I did 3 they failed but I have no regrets

I have PCOS and clomid didnt work for me I am currently on letrozole it did not work at first but she gave me a stronger dosage and this month I had 2 mature follicles. I have cried a lot here lately as well its ry discouraging

So I have pcos but we were also dealing with male factor (low sperm counts).  We did 1 iui and then went to ivf.  Pcos definitely impacted my egg quality as I had a token of follicles but only retrieved 7 mature eggs.  Of those we ended up with 3 frozen high quality blasts.  I’m currently 26+2 with a little girl.  Ivf was the best thing I ever did.  We paid all out of pocket (almost 30k) and I would do it again.  But that being said we also knew iui wasn’t really a great option because of the male factor.  If you can afford it I would try one iui to at least see how you react to the stim meds for it.  It could work.  But I also understand being impatient and wanting to be pregnant (which is how I was) and then I feel like going to ivf might make more sense.  I don’t think there is a wrong answer, it is just what is right for your family.  I can promise you that at the end you won’t remember how sad you feel today.  It was almost exactly a year ago I was in your position, and it’s amazing how far I’ve come. Good luck!
