I'm going to reach 37 weeks tomorrow and for the past two weeks I've been suffering from once a day bouts of diarrhoea and the occasional menstrual-like cramps before or after trips to the bathroom. I've also been seeing some cervical mucus after these trips to the bathroom and it's progressively getting more and more frequent.

However today I had a gob of cervical mucus with very fine streaks of blood in it. And I mean, very fine. I might have missed it if I wasn't a compulsive tissue checker. But it was a fair amount of cervical mucus that came out today. Freaked me out a little and I'm not easily grossed out.

I haven't had any more blood streaks since then but I feel out of sorts. Had diarrhoea everytime I've been to the toilet today and, before anyone says anything, yes I have been staying hydrated throughout this time.

I'm not really sure what's going on with my body. Do I have a stomach bug which is causing the diarrhoea or is it my body preparing me for labour?

I'm a little worried - I don't worry easily but this has me concerned. 😔
