pedicure at 16 weeks?

i've been told numerous times the fumes aren't good but i see women getting acrylic nails. any advice? i have a BAD ingrown nail and need to hit the salon today, should i skip the polish or is baby safe if i do?

It’s fine, it’s just if you can handle it. My nausea was so bad I couldn’t. If you’re worried just ask for the chair closest to the door.

A pedicure is fine- just make sure they don’t heavily massage your ankles (pressure points can send you into early labor if you go overboard) and choose a 3-free polish like Essie or OPI if possible :)

I don't use regular nail polish even when I'm not pregnant, I use piggy paint because it's all natural. I do worry about the chemicals in polish and I would be worried about the chemicals in a salon. I think it's really just what you're comfortable with. Some women like to air on the side of caution with nail salons, hair dye, coffee, lunchmeat, etc. You just gotta figure out what you're most comfortable with, because there's no real right or wrong.
