Do they hurt?

I've been looking at two, and debating about them. I won't be getting any anytime soon. Maybe when I graduate or in a few years still. I'm a senior this year.

Anyways, one I thought about is on my foot, just some small hoofprints going across. It seems like one on the foot might hurt.

The other one would be on my shoulder blade, just a horse head, but not very good.

Do they hurt? Have you regretted getting one? What would you advise or warn about?
