I think they’re both appropriate for the work place honestly. I’ve seem Girls at my office with shorter and tighter skirts.
Ps the outfit looks really nice and you should wear it with black heels.

Good rule of thumb for skirts is to come to your knee for work/professional setting.

I  usually go with fingertip length for skirts, that was the rule in school. Although, sometimes, I wear shorter! 😂
