I know they are testing for down
Syndrome. Will I b having an ultra sound?

My experience... 
For the first trimester screening... It was a two part “exam”. I had to get blood work taken first, which was at 10wks+2. Then today, at 12wks+1 I went in for an ultrasound. They used both my blood work results & what they saw during the ultrasound to determine any risks my baby may have had.

They’ll do what’s called an NT ultrasound, most likely at ur first visit (12wks)
It measures the neck bone, then they’ll ask if u wanna know gender early, cuz there’s a blood test they can do. If ur 35+, they’ll push for this test cuz it also checks for Down syndrome and trisomies... MOST offices who know what they’re doing will have this routine.

Maybe. Mine outsources that ultrasound to another clinic. So I had my blood drawn at a lab for the genetic testing at 11+2 and then my 12 week appointment with my doc at 12+3. Then I have my ultrasound for nt etc at 12+4.

Every office works differently. I had an ultrasound at 13w with my first. Currently pregnant with my third and had a dating scan at 8w and then another scan at 17w. 
They usually tell you if you will be getting an ultrasound at your next appointment so if they didnt say anything at your last appointment about getting a scan at 12w, you probably wont get one

Why don’t you just ask your Dr? How are any of us supposed to know what your drs plans are?
