In need of opinion

So, endometriosis runs in my family. I have had issues with regulating my period and cramps since I was 13 (about 6 years). I tried 7 different birth control prescriptions before springing for an IUD. I've read in a lot of forums that people tend to have light/nonexistent periods and few to no pre/postmenstrual symptoms. I've had my IUD for a year and half and I still have heavy, painful and incredibly irregular periods and just recently, I discovered that while having intercourse, from a certain position, if my SO moves a certain way, I feel a very sharp pain on my right side around my hip bone. Before I go see my gyno, I'd just like to get some feedback from people affected by endometriosis. Thanks in advance for the help.
