Gestational diabetes turned pre eclampsia

Chrissy

So just wondering if anyone has gone through this before and has any input...

I had my one hour glucose test and levels came back 135, so Dr sent me for the 3 hour test. I had that and failed it as well. So I was set up with and endocrinologist and dietician to assist with dieting and what not. I had also been set up with a fetal specialist.

I went to see him today and they did an ultrasound and found that my blood pressure is high and that baby is not growing as she should be and is actually measuring at 27 weeks instead of 31 like we are at.

He also told me that with how my sugar levels are that diabetes is probably not the case as babies are usually bigger than where they should be and my levels have been between 85-99 since I started checking.

Now he is saying that I may be at risk of pre-eclampsia and will need to be checked out twice a week to make sure she is growing. I also now have to check my blood pressure 3 times daily.

Has anyone been through this early on? I tried looking through posts and saw most people do not get diagnosed until about 35/36 weeks.
