Forceful let down?

Anyone else have a forceful let down that causes baby to choke? How can I manage this?

As soon as one boob would let down hard I’d put baby on other side until the flow was done then put him back.

I had a friend who had that. Her lactation consultant told her to recline herself back a bit while feeding. It helped a lot.

Yes that happens with us often. Not every feed though. I’ve heard about reclining back. I just sit my baby up n pat her back

I just pull baby off for a second and use a burp cloth to catch that milk.

Reclined or layibg down feeding. And at first it was so bad my lactation consultant suggested I pump for a minute or two to relieve some of the pressure before nursing.

I too have a forceful let down. My lactation nurse just told me to recline backwards, us the football position but to have her sitting up more.
