Contraction question?

I started having menstrual like cramps yesterday and was wondering if those are considered contractions and if I should be timing them?? I’m 40 weeks tomorrow. Thanks!

yes time them. my entire labor felt like ferocious period cramps as they went on. by the time i was actively pushing, thats when they changed from cramps to... well pushing a baby out.

You'll know they're contractions and to start timing them when you feel it 5-6times an hour. Contractions come in waves that peak and subside. And should only last 90secs at most

Could be the very beginning, I had those cramps for two days before I went into true labor.
