Nursing Tops

I hadn’t given much thought to this till now that the date is getting closer. Do you all think, if I’m planning to breastfeed, that it would be convenient to have some nursing tops. Or is it fine just wearing regular shirts while breastfeeding (while using the nursing cover) ? Does it really matter/make a difference?

I say wear regular clothes, but invest in nursing bras, tank tops, and shirts that can be easily pulled up at the waist/down from the neck. That’s what I did last time and it worked great for us!

I just bought nursing tanks. Around the house that is all I wore. Then when I went out I simply wore a nursing tank under a regular shirt (unless it was warm enough for just a nursing tank out too!). Two shirt method like that kept my stomach covered, which I liked.

I’ve been trying to figure this out myself. I have bought the 5 pack of nursing bras from amazon so that part is done. I guess I’ll test it out while I’m on maternity leave & see how I feel just using the nursing cover before spending a lot on new clothes. I don’t own a lot of button down tops or camis so I imagine I’ll have to buy something. Just not sure what exactly 🤔

I bought a few nursing tank tops from amazon which turned out to be SUPER comfortable! I run pretty hot, so I knew I would want to wear something cool and nursing friendly around the house. I guess with other clothes I’ll just figure it out 🤷🏻‍♀️😬

I only used reg shirts and nursing bras, that’ll be fine.

Its really up to you and what convinent for you and baby. I have a few nursing tops that I liked and helped. I tried to wear loose fitting tops with a camisole underneath to cover my stomach and button downs. I have other tools that I dudnt wear for a long time because it would be a hassle. I also had to use a nipple shield so that was something I had to figure out along with the shirts. You could just always buy a few cheap ones, like h&m, and see how it works out.

Your fine to just use reg tops. And also if you have certain shirts that need an undershirt you could double up like a spaghetti strap and a reg shirt. Then lift the regular to nurse and pull the spaghetti shirt down. That's what I'm doing to do for the most part. Dont have extra $ for special shirts.
