Post membrane sweep contractions stopping?

Question

I had my second membrane sweep today and got really excited since I was having contractions roughly every 20 minutes for about 3 hours.  Then they stopped and I haven’t really had much for the past 1.5 hours.  Anyone have any luck going into labor soon after with similar weird contraction patterns?
Trying to stay as positive as I can but this overdue mama is at the end of her rope!

I was wondering this too I had my second membrane sweep today and have been having contractions since. But if it doesn't take.my induction is scheduled for monday at 7am

I wasn’t in labour until the following day after my membrane sweep, almost 24 hours later. It could still happen!

Yes day 1 my contractions did this in groups with period cramps and back pain. Like a wave going down to my vagina. 
Then the next morning at around 3 am they started 12-13 min apart. That night they were 10
The following day they got 7-8 and then I was at my doctors office trying to convince her i was in labor with contractions coming 2-3 min apart she didn’t want to believe me! So she came back to check me I had gone from 3.5 cm to 5 cm in 10 minutes.

My Dr. was kind of upset with me that I didn’t want a membrane sweep today at 40 weeks. I just see stories like these more often than actual successful 1st membrane sweeps. I rather avoid as much discomfort as cervix checks are enough for me until labor pain.
