Would you rather have a big wedding or big honeymoon?

Hi ladies! My SO and I were talking about how we would do our honeymoon. Just wondering what all you would rather do or have done! We both love the idea for having a big wedding but also a big honeymoon (possibly to a different country), but we don’t have the money for both. Thanks!😊

We had a small wedding of about 20 people and then went on a 2 week honeymoon around Ireland and then 4 days in Rome, Italy. SO worth it.

I have social anxiety and the thought of a big wedding stresses me out so I'd much rather spend on the honeymoon.

a big honeymoon! i’m my personal opinion, (and me working for a weeding venue company) in weddings the day is all about the bride and the groom yes but it seems like all the guests want to be all over you guys. again , personal preference , i’d like to be left alone in a nice long honeymoon with my husband :)

I swore after my wedding “ oh I wished that I had done a small wedding or a destination wedding.. “ but we had a big wedding and my mother in law did it all.. 7 months into our marriage my mother in law passed away. So I am so thankful that we had a big wedding and that she was so involved. 
But everyone will have their own opinion. It’s really what ever you want to do with your life then do it!

If you have to choose then I’d recommend having the wedding you want, and then if that is big, then do the honeymoon like 3-6mos later , and take the $ from the wedding gifts to pay for it. Then you can have both!

I think it really depends on the situation. My husband and I (22/20) had a big wedding and spent the week after out of town to celebrate. We knew that we were going to wait a few years to have kids, so we’re saving up for our big trip (Japan!) while taking small trips here and there.
