When to tell family..

When you ladies DO/DID get your BFP, when WILL/DID you tell close family members?

I’m going to tell my close family after my second ultrasound on the 25th of next month.

We told family when I got a positive test, extended family after first appointment, everyone else at 10 weeks

I told fiancee and mom right away, and I told everyone else at 10.5 weeks then miscarried at 12 weeks, it was hell having to tell everyone that I lost the baby. So next time I won't be sharing the news until at least 16+ weeks.

For my husband I tell him the same day with some sort of cute surprise , for family I wait about 3 months

We told parents and siblings right away. They will all know if I had a miscarriage anyway. Everyone else is later. We told at 9 weeks with my first daughter, and were now realizing that was too early lol. With this one I’m going to wait till 13 weeks. It will be on saint Patrick’s Day! I should also know the gender by then. ❤️

I told my parents , grandparents, and brothers after my 1sr positve test. Sadly I miscarried the same week at almost 5 weeks. It was so hard making the phone calls to deliver that news to them. So next time i am not telling anyone maybe not even my SO until after my first ultrasound.
