Is brown discharge normal?

I stared birth control the day I was supposed to start my period. Three days before that, the condom broke during sex. I was going to wait to see if my period would start so I didn't have to buy a plan b, but I decided not to risk it and took it the second day. It has been a week and a half today since I started the pill and when my period should have started. Now I just have a small amount of discharge like when my period is about to end. This might be a stupid question, but is this my period. It still going on and it has been two days.
