To make a long story short I work an hour from home for a job that I do really enjoy, but there is minimal growth and I feel like my position is being pushed a way I do not want to go. So the other day out of the blue, a recruiter contacted me for a position 12 minutes from my house. I decided to talk to them about it. Not only is the commute a lot better, but it's also 15-20,000 more than my current salary! I am so torn. It seems like a wonderful position, but being an HR professional myself I know the struggle of adding new staff and having them go out on maternity leave. Also I would more than likely no longer have Short Term Disability and FMLA would no longer apply. We could save enough to to cover 6-8 weeks without pay, but still. I just don't know what to do and wanted to vent!!!
