Just a scenario for you
you found out your husband of 5 years was cheating on you (few kids house together etc)
But after you find this out you also discover that you're close friend knew all along but didn't want to ruin your relationship 
So how do you feel towards the friend?
If it were me It'd be unforgivable I feel any true friend that I wanted to keep would respect me enough to tell me the truth.

It wasn't her place to say anything to be honest, because Messengers are all always the ones to get killed first. She felt as though she couldn't involve herself. It sucks yeah but look at it from her perspective before cutting her off as a friend because that's a bit harsh. Now as for the man, just throw his ass away. And maybe sit down and have an adult conversation with your friend and tell her your feelings, have her tell you hers and then reconcile.
