What even? How do you even work here?😠

So yesterday marked 31 weeks with our little man, so I had my appointment made since last week to go in and get my Tdap vaccine for today February 28th. Well, my obgyn doesn’t offer it in his office so I was instructed to go to my primary care physician to get it. Okay, no problem. I get there this morning and get all my info and stats entered in to the computer by the nurse and was told it won’t be long that the she will be back in shortly to give me my shot. She comes back in and is like you’re up to date on your shot and it’s only a one time vaccine. I look her straight in the eyes and said as nicely as possible, “ no ma’am that isn’t correct. It is recommended to get the Tdap vaccine with each pregnancy to pass on the antibodies to baby. I was told this while pregnant with my daughter and now my son.” She then says “ I’m going to go speak with our gyn here”. Like okay lady whatever floats your boat. She comes back in a few minutes later, clearly with an attitude and chip on her shoulder, and was like “ okay, yeah you were right. I’m going to give it to you now. Sorry.” WOMAN!!! Why would I come in after being instructed by my obgyn to do so if it wasn’t recommended?! She was seriously pissed that she was wrong and I was right with my info. How do you work in a medical facility where part of your job is to administer vaccinations and not have the proper background knowledge on them!!!
