Does excessive weight gain during pregnancy mean BIG BABY??

Ladies I'm gettin alittle worried does gaining excessive weight mean having a big baby? Im usually a small girl lol and I don't have GD thank god but idk I've gained a lot of weight even eating somewhat healthy. My question is does a large weight gain mean large baby? Has anyone gained a good amount of weight yet had an average size baby?

I’m smallish to begin with and gained almost 50lbs with my first. He was 7lbs at birth.  I think excessive weight gain puts you at higher risk of a bigger baby but it isn’t a guarantee.

I’ve only gained 15-20 pounds and my baby is huge... measuring in the 90th percentile. I do have gd though and I believe that following the diet has helped me not to gain very much weight.
