Got a letter my husband applied for a personal loan behind my back
So my husband had been mostly unemployed since last May 2018. He's had two short temp jobs and just landed another temp job now.
Well last week I believe it was, he asked me a question about something regarding our annual income and credit. I asked you why he was asking me that, but he didn't tell me an exact answer, just that he was looking into his financial health or something.
Well today I got a letter in the mail that said they denied his request for a personal loan because he has insufficient income...
What the hell? This worries me because he already got into $11,000 debt that I have no idea how he did. He won't show me what he spent it on. And NOW he's trying to take a another loan behind my back from the looks of it?!
I haven't confronted him yet. I'm waiting until he gets home.
But to me this is almost as bad as if he were cheating on me.
What should I do? What would you do in this situation?
UPDATE: I confronted him. He claims he was trying to find out his "financial health" and that they automatically just sent his information to lenders...(I'm talking about this recent incident, not the $11k)
UPDATE: I kinda know what the $11k was spent on. His online subscriptions and Christmas gifts from years past that I know he spent thousands on. I'm 100% sure it's not gambling. He HATES gambling with a passion. He HATES losing so he never plays.
