Well... went to my doctors today 40+1... saw the real OB vs the normal woman I see. Our plan was to try a sweep - unfortunately I couldn’t handle the cervix check for a sweep since I’m still less than 1cm and it hurt bad. I got really emotional since I couldn’t suck it up and get the sweep so the doctor said it’s time to schedule our induction.

Then the Doctor really freaked me out saying that I need to be induced ASAP. I was confused and asked why I couldn’t ride out a few more days or so.... She said that with my GD most hospitals would have induced a week ago before 40 weeks but my hospital lets GD go to 40 weeks but increases risk of infant mortality and like so many other than things. Well.....all I heard was infant mortality and now I’m terrified of a still born because I haven’t been induced... Thanks Doc....

Induction scheduled for Sunday now. 10pm.
