Late ovulation?

Katlin • I love my fur babies like they are my children.

So what are the chances of getting pregnant when you ovulate late? Google says anything after day 21 is considered “late ovulation” My cycles vary from 27 days to 35 days from M2M. This month I ovulated on Feb 27 which was much later than normal. I got a positive lH surge when I tested. Even though it was late did I still properly ovulate or if you never “naturally” ovulate can your body mimic a surge to encourage your period to come properly?

A late ovulation will not affect conceiving. The problem comes if you have a short luteal phase. Meaning if you have an average 30 day cycle, but don’t ovulate until day 21 then the odds of implantation are low and if implantation does occur the odds of your body sustaining that pregnancy are still minimal. But most of the time if you ovulate “late” then your period is just “late”
