Have you ever left a good person for someone else?

What was going on in your mind and did you regret it? Speaking from my own experience, it really hurts to be left for someone else when things were going great, at least I thought it was. 
I guess I’m just trying to understand what goes on in someone’s mind when this happens.

I've left good guys because they weren't good matches for me. Better for me to part ways with them so we could each find someone better suited than wait around until we were both miserable or resentful.

I left a very good person. I wasn’t happy with them at all, I don’t regret it at all. Him and I both deserved to be happy and he didn’t deserve me stringing him along.

Well just because you're a good person doesn't mean you're the right person.
Also some people have different definitions of what a "good person" is. My ex's current girlfriend probably thinks he's a "good guy" but to me he's a POS 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was left by a good person before.
Rejection stings, and I was hurt for a while.
But then I looked back at our “relationship” and realized we weren’t together because of a connection or love or anything. He was a good guy and I was a good girl and we were convenient...but really we were just meant to be friends. There was never truly any romantic feelings there.

All my exes were good guys, I generally don’t date assholes.
While they were all good guys, the relationships weren’t what I was looking for and we went our separate ways.
I’m now happily engaged, to the love of my life, we have a 10 month old daughter, and another baby due in August 😊
I have no regrets, as I didn’t want to waste anymore of either person’s time by settling for a relationship that wasn’t right for me.

I never left a good person with the intentions of being with someone else off rip but I have left guys that were everything a woman would probably want they just weren’t for me. At one point I would look back & feel bad & think “what if” but I met my fiancé & he is literally my soulmate so it makes sense nothing else worked out 🤷🏾‍♀️

Yes. I left a guy I was dating to be with my ex, who I ended up marrying. Tbh it was never gonna work out. Just because someone is a good person/partner (which he absolutely was) doesn’t mean they are right for you in the long run.
