When can you stop burping your baby?

I know it’s different for everyone but I’m just curious what age did you not have to burp your baby anymore?

New studies released show that burped babies actually spit up more and there has never been any evidence to prove that burping a babies does anything besides upset their stomach

I rarely do anymore.  At 1 month my sons colic pretty much disappeared, by 1 and a half months he can almost always get the burps out by himself spontaneously. He’s 12 weeks now and I’ve had to burp him maybe 2 or 3 times in the last month.

My son is 10 weeks today and EFB. If I sit him up after eating he will burp on his own.

My son is 12 weeks old now and I’ve noticed he can pretty much burp on his own now so we do it a lot less frequently now but I still try to get him to burp if he seems like he needs to

I never did. He doesn’t like being patted. He burps on his own whenever he needs to.
