Second time round and even more scared than before

So

With my first child, I was nervous about giving birth and would EVERYONE who had a child ‘what does child birth feel like?’ And they would all tell me they’re stories.

Then when I actually went into labour, it came so quickly and was a bit of a blur but all I can remember is contraction HURT, more than labour itself and then after the midwife wiped inside me to check for tears (which thankfully I didn’t have) but that was sore, then you are left with a sore bum from all the pushing.

Now with my second, I was kind of like ‘yeah, it’s cool I know what to expect’ but no child birth is the same, and I’m REALLY not looking forward to the contraction pains and labour and the sore bum lol as and I feel more nervous than before. Am I the only one dreading it?

My second hurt more than my first, there was only 1lb difference but my second was quicker so think that played a factor (no time to adjust to the pain before it progressed). On to my third now and honestly not given it any thought. All you end up remembering is that 'it does hurt', you never actually remember exactly how much. So why stress over it (that's my mindset anyway).

I was terrified having my second just because i knew exactly what to expect unlike my first labour. I just went in with the mindset that I did it before and I could do it again (that’s what us women are made to do after all) and honestly it helped so much. On my first I went to the hospital at 1cm on my second I got there already 10cm half hour later baby was here. This is my 3rd due in 6 weeks so hoping this will be as quick and easy as second baby x good luck
