Road Trip Worries
Towards the end of March (around 26-28 Weeks) is when my fiancé has decided we are taking a road trip. It’s all good intentions, visit some of his friends and deliver their puppies from the litter we had that they picked out. Then, head into the city for dinner, a night in a hotel, and shopping the next day before driving home.
I would be all kinds of excited if it weren’t for a few concerns:
-We’re in Montana, a 4 hour drive at the end of March means some snow, no cell service, and roads that scare the shit out of me. Plus, nothing or no one for hours at a time.
-He’s going to be determined to drive his truck down there because a dirt road is involved in getting to his friend’s house. I have little faith in that truck making it the full 8 hours of driving (it’s old) and my anxiety on that road is through the roof with me driving, let alone giving control to someone else.
-I’m not sure if 26-28 Weeks is a little sketchy for that kind of trip. I’m a FTM so, I have no clue. I’m not high risk or anything, but I do have a fear of preterm labor.
Does this trip sound a bit ridiculous to make or do you guys think we may be able to come to a compromise in order to help my anxiety with it all? (Ideas for that greatly welcomed)
P.S. I will be checking the road conditions beforehand and if there is anything that raises concern as far as snow or ice, I’ll do my best to pitch a fit and put it off until the roads are clear😂 thankfully, it does seem to be getting warmer, it was a whole 23 degrees yesterday! (I miss the desert 🌵)
