How Young is Too Young?

Question

So I've seen on here fourteen year old talking about sex and wanting a baby. Do y'all think this is too young? If not how young is too young?

If that 14 year old has a job, a house, stable relationship, and wont rely on mom and dad or welfare then power to them. I dont think its about age. Its just are you mentally, physically, financially, etc. ready for a baby?

If you can't financially, physically and emotionally support a child, you're too young.

Under 18 is too young to plan a baby, I also think they need to be moved out, finished with school and have their own income. I know there are a lot younger moms who make it work but it's stupid to plan for a baby before all of those things

I'm fourteen and sexually active with my boyfriend. (I lost my virginity to him) I do regret doing it this early, but it is what it is. I'm on birth control, and we also occasionally use condoms. I for one am not interested in having a child, for I am almost one myself. I am young, but I can't change the past.

I feel like when you're ready, you're ready. I had a pregnancy scare at 14 after being raped. After that, it changed me. I grew up so much faster. By the time I was 16, I had been with my SO, and we were ttc. Had the rape not have happened.. I wouldn't have been ready. But I was. We were on our own pretty much. We got pregnant and married. and it was the most amazing thing in the world. We are still together and I now have a different outlook on it. At 16, I often forgot my age. Because I was working, finished school, I was the mature one in my famliy. Took care of my 20 year old brother who was a drug addict. My SO joined he military before I got pregnant so that kinda pushed me forward even more. Most people thought I was 20. I left that enviornment with him, and we had our family. Alot of other things happened as well but those are the things that made me grow up so fast.

So for some teens, you cant really judge them. But there are many who are just wanting a fantasy and chances are wont get it.

I understand what every one is saying and coming from, and myself only 16 wouldn't dare be thrilled for a child at my age. But remember when being this age even younger (12 for example)  being married and on ways to having kids was the way to go and if you were older and not married or had kids you were almost a disgrace or not worth marriages. Time had changed indeed I'm just saying in general.

When you're old enough to handle the responsibilities and consequences of sex. When you're willing and able to get yourself to the doctor on a regularly basis for std testing, birth control, to the store for condoms, plan b, pregnancy tests, and you're capable of handling every aspect that comes with it, even being emotionally ready. For me that was 17. For others it may be older.
