Toddler likes to try to chew rocks... phase?
Anyone have a toddler that keeps trying to chew on rocks? It’s slightly terrifying ..
He doesn’t do it all the time, usually he will do it once I’ve put the last time out of memory.. but I hate it
He’s almost two and seems to love chewing... I have even given him gum (super small pieces) and he will chew it for close to 30 min before he’s done with it. But that makes me nervous too!!!!
It’s been going on for several months 🤦🏻♀️
He also does not really go for teethers especially if they are cold. He doesn’t like cold stuff, not even ice cream! I’ve tried close to $100 of different teethers
Could this just be a phase that’s a part of teething? He doesn’t do it frequently so “no eating rocks” doesn’t do much
He is my first and I’m at a loss of how to prevent or discipline it except helicopter the crap out of him and while I let him play by himself I’m always out there with him (usually pulling weeds or general outdoor cleaning)
Anyway, I would appreciate ideas or what you do if your kid loves to chew
