Yes because I have and it turned out well. It really depends on the situation, type of cheating, and your relationship. Any relationship can be salvaged if both members really want it to work and are willing to work for eachother. 
You both have to be mature enough to face what happened. The one who cheated needs to understand that the trustcmay not ever be fully there, and that their partner has every right to be upset for as long as they choose to be.
