After a failed 36 hour induction where I only dilated 1cm and effaced 50%, I ended up making the decision to have a c-section. While both baby and I were both stable and could have continued the induction process, I wanted to prevent any complications as it was unlikely that I would continue to dilate. Baby girl was born on February 26th 2019 at 9:28pm. My chunky baby was born weighing 9lb 3oz and measured 21 inches long! My baby was healthy, however, about an hour after delivery, I began hemorrhaging due to having a 4cm clot that I was unable to pass due to only being 1cm dilated. I was subsequently rushed to the OR for a D&C and they were able to remove the clot safely! It has now been 4 days and baby girl and I are finally ready to head home! I only have positive things to say about all of my doctors and nurses that took care of us during this time.
