With my son, I exclusively pumped after latching my son for two weeks and failing and we pumped for 5 months. Come to find out he had a lip tie and that’s why he never could latch.

But now that is what I’m comfortable with and I’m wondering if I could pump for my daughter from when she’s born in hospital and not latch her. It’s just preference, Will she still be able to get colostrum, and will hospital fight me on it if I bring my pump and choose to feed her that way from the start?
