First time patch user advice ??

Any advice on the patch that you discovered yourself that isn’t in the pamphlets?? this is my first time using the patch and I would like to try to figure things out. Unfortunately, I started my first patch yesterday and took a shower it came off and I wasn’t able to re stick it so I have to use a new one ://.
