Do you believe neutering/spaying your animals is necessary/better for their heath?

This is a debate I’m having with my fiancé. We have a 5 year old pit bull that is not neutered, and it’s taken me 3 years to convince him that neutering him is in his best interest.. until he stumbled upon articles with conflicting information that it isn’t healthier for them/doesn’t help prevent against cancer.

I truly believe you will find conflicting opinions about ANYTHING on the internet and it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. I believe whole heartily that animals should be neutered/spayed and that it’s better for them
