Is 38 weeks too late for baby shower date?

My first child came on exact due date. My doc doesn't have a reason why this baby would come any sooner.

If baby comes before hand you could always make it a meet shower too.

Mine is at 38+3  that’s just when my mom could arrange it bc she was on vacation and didn’t want to do it in Jan/feb in case of bad weather 🤷🏼‍♀️ we decided that worst case scenario if I were to go into labour early I would bring baby haha also we bought the bare minimums needed to bring baby home so we might not have a stroller or a bathtub but baby will survive!

If you’re already like 37 weeks then go ahead and just do it so you can get it done. But if you’re like 30 weeks and planning to do it that late, I wouldn’t risk it, you never know when baby could come. I would do it soon!

I would say yes just because you will be tired and uncomfortable.
