Is it too much to make your child shower twice a day?
Making your kid shower after school to wash off the germs? And then once at night?
I am a frequent listener of the Coffee Covos podcast with Lindsie Chrisley and Kailyn Lowry. I just heard on an episode that Lindsie makes her son Jackson shower after he gets home from school to wash off the germs from school, and has him change into clean clothes. She also takes everything out of his backpack and wipes down every single item in the bag and wipes down the bag with Clorox wipes. And then she has him shower also at night before bed. Every day they do this exact routine.
Do you think this is a little much? Personally I think it’s a little excessive but I try not to judge other people’s parenting methods. I do know that it’s not good for your hair or skin to shower every single day, let alone TWICE every single day. (But I cant say much because I shower every day). I also feel like this is killing helpful bacteria that could build her son’s immune system.
But then again I can understand, classrooms and other children are FULL of germs and it’s scary to have those germs in your house. However, I still think making your child shower twice a day and change his clothes 3 times a day (morning clothes, after school clothes, and then pajamas) is too extreme.
What do you guys think?
