Irritable uterus??

Has anyone of you have been experienced what it’s call an irritable uterus and been put on bed rest? Does it get any better?😩

Yes, I’ve had it since 19 weeks. Been to L&D twice. I’m 27 weeks right now. Going for an ultrasound next week so they can check my cervix and make sure it’s not changing too much. My doctor gave me an Rx for procardia but I’m only supposed to take it if I can’t get them to slow down. Both docs in L&D said it’s probably just my normal. I’ve started taking it way more easy. No lifting, limit stairs, limit walking, limit time on my own with my 2 year old. Laying down for too long makes mine even worse so bed rest wouldn’t really help me. The only thing that helps is being able to change position and pee immediately whenever I need. Good luck!!

I’ve got an irritable uterus now too. Went to l&d last Wednesday for contractions 3-4 minutes apart. Spent a few days in the hospital while the doctors tried to get my contractions to slow down and dilated to 3cm in the mean time. 
I’m home now, not on bed rest, but taking Procardia every six hours to keep the contractions down. Every time, without fail, at the five hour mark from taking my meds, the contractions pick right back up again. They’re worse if I’m up and moving around, but laying down doesn’t stop them from coming either. 
I’m really hoping things will calm down and these contractions/irritable uterus will subside. Otherwise I’ve got a very long 3 months ahead of me!

I haven’t, but I recently read that if you have irritable uterus, stay away from red raspberry leaf tea!! It’ll just irritate it more. 😬

I had an irritable uterus with my first pregnancy. I didn’t get put on bed rest because my doctor said that rarely made much of a difference, and frankly he was right. I stopped exercising and basically just laid on the couch unless I was at my (very laid back) easy desk job, and it made absolutely no difference to how many contractions I had or how bad they were. 
So I went back to living life as normally as possible and my son was born healthy at 41 weeks. 
Do whatever your doctor suggests! Hopefully it makes a difference for you.
