I gave one of his closest friends head

I’ve been seeing the most amazing guy (A) for about a 3 weeks now, everything is perfect, we have the same intentions, same long term goals and it feels as though we’ve known each other for years. The chemistry is amazing however we’re in a bit of an awkward situation at the moment due to the fact that I hooked up with one of his closest friends (J), 5 years ago.

We all went to university together and have had mutual friends for years but A and I never closed paths, up until we 3 weeks ago when we matched on tinder and hit it off instantly. I was flicking through Instagram the other night and J’s post popped up on the popular page, had posted a photo with A and that’s when i realized, not only do they know each other but they seem close so I decided to bring it up as it was bound to come out eventually and I’d rather him hear it from me than anyone else.

We’re trying to work through it but I don’t know what I should be doing to help him get over it, he said he can 100% move on from it because that’s literally the only con but it’s going to take time and we’re in that awkward “I want to get over it but it’s still too fresh for me not to be upset”. He’s not angry at me, he’s just frustrated by the situation and he can’t stop thinking about it.
